Syriend is Landing!
Long-time fans know that attending one of Syriend's shows relies on using the "Chord"inate system. Syriend would post coordinates to her next performance, all of which have been out at sea. From there it was a mad dash to secure ships, skimmers, skiffs, or anything else buoyant. This unique method of 'pop-up' concerts allowed Syriend to have a dedicated following. But it did limit who would have access to her concerts.In a shocking turn of events, Syriend has announced she'll also be doing "landed" shows in the future. The singer will still be doing floating concerts but wants to broaden her reach as a performer. Fans are split on the move. Some will miss the more "exclusive" feeling of her shows. Others are happy for a chance to see her live."Thank you to all my fans for supporting me! I look forward to exploring the lands of Tyria and gaining even more inspiration."

.Overview.
Syriend is a Night Cycle Sylvari who is very much pro-Pale Tree. Upon her emergence, she was tasked with a Wyld Hunt involving the deep sea and music. She spent most of her life in the Sea of Sorrows, trying to figure out her path. It is unclear if she ever succeeded in her Hunt. During her exploration, she traveled to Siren's Landing and learned the musical magic of Sirens. From there she started a highly successful musical career which she still pursues to this day..Musical Career.
Syriend, also known as Siren or Songstress, launched a highly successful series of 'pop-up concerts'. Fans subscribed to the "Chord-inates" would be sent the location of her next show. From there people would grab their ships, skiffs, skimmers or anything else to reach the at-sea concert. Her music captivates her audience as does her multi-genre nature. She has a large fan following which has caused some issues in the past.
.Abilities.
Underwater Breathing - Syriend can breathe underwater and prefers it to air.
Pressure Protection- The intense pressure of the sea seems to have no effect on her. This only takes effect when submerged.
Darkvision - Syriend can see fully in darkness, which makes deep sea exploration easier.
Siren of Orr - Her elementalist magic is heavily entwined with the near-lost art of the Orrian sirens.
Oceanic Body - Syriend's body is deeply connected to the ocean in more than her strange blue appearance. She can summon six watery serpents from her back. Each has a different personality and seems to have a mind of its own. They are also able to take out her musical instruments for her from some unseen storage.
.Plot Hooks.
Famous Singer-Songwriter - Syriend has performed dozens of shows at sea and has quite the audience. Her fanbase can go a bit far at times trying to help the singer have a wider reach. Perhaps your character attended one of her shows, knows a fan, or tried to hire her.
Siren - She constantly uses the magic of the Sirens, an ancient art still not understood by most today. It appears she has heightened it beyond godly dirges.
Deep Sea Dweller - Syriend spent quite a few years in the dark regions of the ocean. From karka to largos, she's more familiar with things the greater public has yet to uncover. She can survive and even thrives in that environment, making her a great choice for underwater exploration.
Empathy Influencer - The singer has an overbearing empathy that fellow Sylvari can sense. During her shows it can be difficult not to be swayed by her heightened emotional state. Syriend seems almost empowered by Sylvari fans at times...
Pirate Pal or Problem - Depending on the group of pirates, Syriend is seen either as a boon or a bane. Many of her fans are pirates and have supported her throughout her career. Other more superstitious seafarers avoid her at best or seek to harm her at worst for being a siren. It probably doesn't help that her skiff is a ghostly, sunken pirate vessel. Did she find it or did she get rid of the crew?
